Who knew that some super comfy, fabulously stylish, wireless on-ear headphones could have the cascade effect of actually increasing my productivity! I’ve been testing out the new Sudio Regent headphones and I never realized how much I needed something like this in my life.
I was already in love with the Sudio Vasa Bla wireless earbuds. I thought earbuds were certainly more my style. Well I didn’t know what I was missing not using on-ear headphones. Sudio Regent ($219 CAD) headphones are wireless bluetooth headphones with amazing range so I have total freedom. But secondly the cushy over the ear style is so comfortable and the noise cancelling benefits have actually really helped increase my productivity. I find I can stay focused on a task so much better when I am wearing these. I have been doing a lot of webinars and other such online, education endeavours that involve audio. Normally I would just listen on my desktop or laptop. I mean I’m at home, why do I need headphones? But there is something about it that just makes me feel that much more connected and tuned into the content. Also, on days my kids have had snow days home from school, or weekends when I actually manage to get some work done, wearing these headphones lets me cancel out the constant chatter, bickering, and fighting going on with my kids. Or even the nonsense they are listening to/watching. I am so much more productive! I never thought I would get so much use out of headphones! I thought they were just for people on the train or at school etc. How wrong I was!
OK so back to the Sudio Regent headphones. They are the newest release from Sudio and the design has a beautiful modern look with it’s gold hardware. They are available in both black and white, and of course I was all over the white version. One really fun thing about the Sudio Regent headphones is that you can customize them with a variety of interchangeable Caps ($20 CAD). Of course I had to get the white marble! So chic.
The sound quality and clarity is just beautiful. I’m no expert in this kind of thing but I was really impressed. I found I could really experience so many facets of the music that is normally just lost with normal speakers. At least the ones I’m used to! They use Bluetooth 4.1 technology and have 24+ hours of battery life and 20 days of standby time. I am terrible at ever remembering to charge anything and these have been fantastic. They’ve never run out of battery on me, even with my very sparse remembrances to plug them in.
The 3 button remote and mic controls are super easy to learn and use. The foldable hinges were a surprise bonus. It’s so nice to be able to make them even more compact for travel.
