The arrival of the new Dior Capture Totale DreamSkin Advanced Perfect Skin Creator ($115 US/$140 CAD for 30ml) came at the perfect time. My bottle of the original formula was so close to empty, and I’d been hanging on to the last little bit of it for months. Tell me I’m not the only one who does this? Hangs on to endless practically empty bottles/jars of things you love because you don’t want it to be “actually” gone. I’m a weirdo aren’t I?
The popular DreamSkin has been given an upgrade. DreamSkin is a unique product. Is it skincare? Is it a primer? Is it an illuminator? Well it’s all of those things! Making it one of the most confusing, and beloved, beauty products. When I first tried Dreamskin I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to keep it in my bathroom with my skincare, or in my makeup room. Well it has found it’s home in my beauty room with my foundations and primers. I sometimes use it prior to my makeup application and I almost always reach for it on no makeup days to give my skin a smoother, healthier appearance as well as a beautiful radiance.

The new DiorSkin Advanced has a reinforced formula that amps up all the amazing benefits of DreamSkin.
- The anti-aging skincare benefits are boosted with Longozo complex and Opilia which are skin precursor stem cells helping produce more dermal cells, and increased collagen and elastic production. With regular use skin is firmed.
- The soft focus effect and illuminating light boosting agents are stepped up with next generation mica and a combination of unique active-biometric ingredients. Skin looks more even toned and smooth, and naturally radiant thanks to a luminosity that isn’t shimmery or sparkly.
- The new Advanced formula of DreamSkin also contains a new next generation texturizing polymer for increased comfort and a more supple, plumped look to the skin.
The new Dior Capture Totale DreamSkin 1-Minute Mask ($75 US/$90 CAD for 75ml) is such a unique product. There are many aspects of this product that make it so remarkable. First of all is the fact that this is a mask you can do in just over 60 seconds. The mask is marketed as a youth perfecting, new skin effect mask. I wasn’t sure at first what that meant, but it turns out that it is a chemical peel treatment that includes highly effective, safe doses of both BHA (salicylic acid) and AHA (glycolic and citric acids). Skin looks bright, fresh, and radiant after use.
The second thing that makes this mask so unique is it’s texture, and the transformation it undergoes. It has a gel-in-creme formula that starts as a pearly pink, almost powdery gel.

The powdery texture you see is the encapsulated pearls. When you massage the pink gel into your skin you benefit from the mechanical invigoration of your skin from the texture, as well as the luminizing pigments that are released.

Massaging the mask into the skin transforms it into a thick white cream that blankets your face in the skin peel. You leave the peel on your face for a minute and then rinse off to reveal a radiant and refreshed complexion.

I’ve been absolutely loving this mask because it is so quick and easy to do in the mornings before carrying on with the rest of my skincare and beauty routine. Even if it’s just for a couple of minutes, it is so gratifying to do something indulgent and special for myself. Plus my skin looks and feels amazing resulting in an even more beautiful makeup application. After applying your DreamSkin Advanced of course! You can do the mask 2-3 times per week.

The Dior packaging is absolutely beautiful. So incredibly luxe and I love the soft pink and chrome color scheme. Dior does a wonderful thing with their luxury packaged products. You an purchase refills rather than tossing that pretty packaging in the trash. Plus, bonus, you also save money when it’s time to repurchase! The Dreamskin Advanced 50ml Refillable Sleeve Packaging is $185 CAD with the refills available for $160 CAD. Shown is the 30ml packaging.
