Well it’s been over 10 weeks since I incorporated the Silk’n Titan into my beauty routine so it is time for me to give you an update on my results as well as announce the winner of the Silk’n Titan Giveaway!
First up let’s have a little recap about what the Silk’n Titan is all about.
What It Is
The Silk’n Titan Skin Tightening + Lifting Anti-Aging Device ($299 CAD) is an at-home handheld treatment device that offers the same technology used by dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons. You can achieve effective results affordably in the comfort of your own home.
How It Works
The Titan harmonizes 3 forms of energy to create the most effective and advanced results in a non-invasive, clinically tested, and FDA cleared way.
- Bi-Polar RF Energy – goes deep beneath skin contracting connective tissues resulting in remodelling of collagen and strengthened elastin for lifted and tightened skin.
- LED Light Energy – facilitates new collagen growth resulting in reduced fine lines and wrinkles.
- Infrared Heat Energy – increases blood circulation resulting in improved skin tone and texture.
Titan technology penetrates beneath the skin to seek out and repair damaged tissues. It contracts collagen and elastic fibers so skin can repair itself from the inside. Skin continues to look younger and tighter with regular use.
The Benefits
- Improved skin structure and elasticity
- Rejuvenated collagen and elastic fibers
- Strengthened deep layers of the skin
- Tightened skin
- Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
- Lifted facial contours
- Reduced superficial sun and age spots
My Experience
The device has multiple energy levels so you can customize it to your skin. I started on Level 3 and then moved up quickly to the optimal treatment level of 4-5. There is no discomfort, just a slight warming sensation that is more intense when you first move to a higher level. The Titan comes with a slider gel that you spread over the treatment area to act as an energy conductor. Each treatment area (you treat one area at a time) takes about 10-15 minutes. I find I need to reapply the slider gel during this time.
The thing with this device that it really is an investment of your time. You have to be ready to commit to spending 20-30 minute twice per week for each area. For example 15 min for the left and right lower cheek area twice per week. So if you plan on treating two areas like the wrinkles around your eyes and your lower cheeks you’re looking at doubling that to up to an hour a week. I ended up not doing the eye treatments for the full 10 weeks and just stuck with my largest problem area, my lower cheek area, for the full 10 weeks.
I have definitely noticed an improvement. I actually noticed an improvement quite early on so that made it all the more encouraging and worthwhile investing the time week after week. Before starting with the Titan I was experiencing what I considered quite a dramatic loss of elasticity. The area of my lower cheeks had almost a play-doh like texture. I could push my finger in and the dent of my finger would stay for a bit. My skin just did not bounce back. I am noticing much more firmness and bounce back in my skin now. My wrinkles have also softened. Of course they haven’t disappeared completely, let’s be realistic, but the improvement is noticeable. I’m excited to see the continued improvement with another round of treatment!
The before and after pictures below are unedited in natural lighting. Same chair, same room, same window. The only difference is one day was a little sunnier than the other.
I am quite pleased with my results and if I wasn’t so lazy I would likely be using this thing all over my face every day. But ain’t nobody got time for that!
I’m excited to announce the winner from the Silk’n Titan Giveaway held in my first post. The winner is Sarah L. from Hamilton, ON. Congratulations!
If you have tried the Silk’n Titan I’d love to hear about your experience. Would you try something like this?
