MAKE UP FOR EVER has a small Fall 2013 collection you wont want to miss and it is available exclusively at their Boutiques at the Toronto Eaton Centre and Complexe Les Ailes in Montréal location of Sephora. The Blue Sepia Collection includes a new shade of Aqua Liner , falses lashes, and the incredible Blue Sepia Palette.
The Blue Sepia Palette ($45) includes #128 Copper Fawn, #28 Coffee, #152 Light Pink, #04 Black, #98 Brown, #17 Espresso, #127 Metallic Taupe and the exclusive limited edition shade for fall, Petrol Blue. The compact palette houses a mirror with a portable double-ended shader and precision crease brush, and an angled eyebrow brush. The multi-use palette contains all the necessary shades to allow every woman to recreate the 1950s cat eye look complete with two shades for beautiful brows.
This palette is absolutely incredible! I mean mind blowing! All 6 shades are impeccable quality. They are creamy, richly pigmented, and best of all there are four matte shades in the palette. Even if you can’t ever see yourself wearing Petrol Blue because you are a diehard neutral lover you still need this palette because it contains gorgeous neutrals. The warm sepia tones are beautiful. I believe this is my first experience with MAKE UP FOR EVER matte eyeshadows and I am very impressed. Equally so with the two satin and one iridescent shades in the palette. The limited edition star of the palette is Petrol Blue which is a stunning shimmering teal. I do find that on the eyes, when paired with the warm browns, the teal comes off much more green than in the palette. If I had to find one thing to complain about it would be that there are a lot of warm browns in this palette. Maybe a touch more variety may have been nice like a cream base/highlight shade.
The back of the box actually gives you detailed instructions on two possible looks you can create with the palette. The Enhanced Eye and the Smoky Eye. I chose to try the Enhanced Eye for my first experience with the palette. I actually forgot to take pictures right away as it was a busy Sunday so these photos were actually taken after SEVEN hours of wear.
I wish I could tell you this palette was more widely available because it is simply fantastic. I know I have ordered items from the Toronto Eaton Centre Sephora location over the phone before so maybe that is an option.
