Do you think you can wear blue? For many, many years I was under the impression that women with blue eyes should not wear blue eyeshadow. This is not true! While blue is certainly not the shade you should choose to emphasize your blue eyes it does not mean that it can’t be flattering. Revlon challenged me to Dare to Wear Blue and I was happy to oblige.
The Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow eyeshadow palette in Avant Garde ($12.95 CAD) is a nice way to make a gentle exploration into blue territory. Applied dry these shades are very sheer and offer a soft muted effect that anyone would be comfortable with. The PhotoReady shadows can also be applied wet for more impact if you a ready to flaunt your daring blue look. They are a little more difficult to work with this way though. The dark blue in this palette blends out very nicely for use in the crease. the bottom left primer shade has a gorgeous irridescent quality and the bottom right is a sparkly shade that really brightens up the inner corner or center of the lid.

There are also two new PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener pencils ($9.95 CAD). What I like about these is that there are double ended. A brightening shade on one end for brightening your lower waterline and inner corner and a more tradition Kajal liner shade on the other. Carbon Cleopatra is a Black and Cream pencil while Blue Nile is Blue and Blue-White. I love that the white has a hint of blue to it for extra brightening.
I also used the Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Mascara ($9.95 CAD) in these looks which I will review more fully in an upcoming post.
