I am pretty picky when it comes to mascaras. I expect a lot, and if I’m not getting it I am quickly disheartened. My preference when it comes to mascara is lots of fluttery lush volume. I don’t want clumpy volume or spikey volume. I want to maintain some definition with intense volume but still have the lashes built up significantly. I also want lost of length. My lashes are very straight but they do seem to hold a curl, from my lash curler, well so lift and curl isn’t something I usually pay much attention to as I don’t find myself disappointed in that particular area often. And of course I don’t want my mascara to flake or smudge throughout the day.
My favorite mascara right now is the L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara. I am so madly and passionately in love with this mascara! It gives similar results to the cult favorite Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara without the horrible flaking and smudging I experience with the Too Faced formula. The only thing I have to complain about with the Lash Paradise Mascara is that over time the tube gets quite messy. The formula seems to really gunk up around the neck of the tube. I have been using this mascara since it launched in May and my love affair with it has only grown stronger. It continues performing beautifully even after being open and in used for months. I have also tried the waterproof formula but I find that formula wetter and it doesn’t give quite as much volume as the original so I stick with it.
The image below is my original before and after photo which I don’t feel begin to give this mascara justice. I would love to do new before and after pics but I can’t seem to find Lash Paradise anywhere right now. It’s sold out! I do have a raincheck on hand for four new tubes though as soon as I see stock replenished!
