eos is notorious for their Smooth Sphere Lip Balms in the unique rounded packaging. They have expanded their evolution of smooth (I had no idea that’s what eos stood for! Did you?) to include hand lotion, body lotion, and shave cream. I have been testing out the Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Lavender Jasmine. The product is also available in Pomegranate Raspberry, Vanilla Bliss, and Unscented.
A delightful shave starts with deep, long-lasting moisture.
Rich, non-foaming eos shave cream is packed with natural conditioning oils,
shea butter and antioxidant vitamins E and C to provide 24 hours of
ultra-soothing moisture. It’s so moisturizing, you can shave wet or dry. Plus,
it’s enriched with skin protectants to help prevent nicks and razor bumps.
- 24 hours of deep moisture
- Natural shea butter and aloe
- Nourishes and softens skin
- Paraben-free
- Phthalate-free
The shave cream is housed in easy to use pump packaging. It has a thinner texture than I was expecting. I was expecting a thicker cream that would offer more protection. I find that when I am using this in the shower and my legs are truly wet that after applying several pumps to my legs it is considerable thinned out by the water. It offers decent protection for shaving if you don’t generally experience sensitivity or irritation from shaving. I wouldn’t attempt to use this on my bikini area but it has worked well enough on my legs. It does leave your skin feeling nicely moisturized.
The thinner texture actually makes this shaving cream best suited for dry shaving which eos also suggests it can be used for. I wouldn’t actually shave DRY dry but for shaving on the edge of the tube with your legs simply dampened from a washcloth etc. this formula is perfect. It allows you to shave with no irritation or mess.
So what are my final thoughts on the eos shave cream? Well I wish it was thicker so that it offered more protection when used on wet skin. On the other hand if it was thicker it wouldn’t work as optimally as it does for dry/damp shaving. So I guess it all depends on your needs and shaving habits. It is certainly a welcome addition to my bathroom staples for use in the right conditions but I will continue using a thicker foam or gel product in the shower.
