Dior has added to their recently released line of Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows for the Spring 2014 Trianon Collection with the addition of three new shades of a new formula. The Diorshow Fusion Mono Matte ($32 CAD/$ US).
The matte formula feels a little different than the original shimmery Diorshow Fusion Mono shadows. A little drier. They do have a fairly sheer level of pigment like the original formula. Rather than the sponge tip applicator included with the original release these new matte versions come with a brush. The 3 new matte shades are:
091 Nocturne – A soft black that actually does contain a fine amount of shimmer despite it being part of the new Matte lineup.
641 Fantaisie – A soft warm pale pink.
761 Mirage – A cool toned taupe brown.
Applied with a finger these offer a sheer wash of colour. You can build up the colour a bit by applying with a brush. They give a very soft, hazy, and natural finish. I do experience quite a bit of fading with these shadows so I recommend using a primer. I find that the natural finish and cooler tone of Mirage makes it a great facial contour shade!
