This product has become a new must have obsession for me. Not only is it versatile but it’s also incredibly flattering. The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 US/$50 CAD) is one of the products that you aren’t exactly sure what it is but you love it anyways. This “For a Superstar Youth Glow” product is not a liquid nor a cream. It has more the consistency of a foundation, and in the bottle you could certainly mistake it for one.
This complexion booster can be used as a primer for an all over glow underneath your foundation, or mixed with your foundation for added luminosity, or applied as a highlighter. My favourite way to apply it is mixed into my foundation. I have achieved absolutely gorgeous results mixing it with a variety of my foundations. It helps some of my longer wear foundation formulas leave a healthier, more natural finish to my skin.
I’m not often a fan of liquid or cream highlighters because I find they can lift the foundation underneath and create a patchy effect but this product plays beautiful with the foundations I’ve applied it over and with.
It has a wand applicator that you dip into the bottle to withdraw the product.
The shade I have is Shade 2 which is a peachy beige for fair skin. I am very tempted to try Shade 1, a neutral beige, as well.
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter formula includes:
- Smoothing airbrush polymers for an airbrushed finish.
- Glossy Oil (a lightweight moisturizing oil) to reflects and adds light to the face.
- Finely milled powders for a soft focus effect that minimizes the appearance of lines and pores.
- Porcelain Flower Extract which is a brightening ingredient derived from a Thai flower with natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories to enhance microcirculation and brighten skin.
Have you tried this product yet? I can’t get enough of it and I’ve been using it every time I wear makeup.
