The arrival of a NEW Urban Decay Naked Palette is a very exciting happening in the beauty world. The Naked palettes have become an iconic product in the makeup industry and the new Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette ($66 CAD) is the warmest Naked palette to date and it was inspired by the popular shades Bitter from Vice4 and Extra Bitter from Naked Ultimate Basics. It’s a warm and fiery palette full of tones of warm burnt reds, coppers, siennas, and butterscotch along with some always needed neutrals.
The most shade-driven Naked palette we’ve ever done, this palette takes Naked in a whole new direction, building on the hysteria over shades like Bitter (a reddish-brown matte from Vice4) and Extra Bitter (a burnt orange matte from Naked Ultimate Basics). We’re completely hooked on the current cult-favorite neutrals: warm burnt reds, coppers, siennas and butterscotch. These shades look insanely attering on any skin tone, and talk about HOT. We’re currently obsessed with En Fuego, a matte red, which looks amazing in the crease or on the lid. Ember is our go-to shade for the perfect warm smoky eye. We also can’t get enough of Scorched, a metallic deep red with gold micro-shimmer, and Dirty Talk, a really beautiful metallic burnt red.
What I think really makes this particular Naked palette stand out is that there are far more matte shades than the other Naked palettes, and it’s also free of any of the really chunky glitter shadows.
The quality of the shadows is really good overall. Great pigmentation and beautiful finishes. The only drawbacks I’ve experienced thus far are that Ashes is pretty disappointing both in terms of pigmentation, and I was saddened that En Fuego is a warm brown and not the burgundy shade I was anticipating. The presence of burgundy I was expecting really isn’t there. There is also a strong similarity in some of the shades. I am still really pleased with this palette and I can’t wait to continue experimenting with it! Ember is a really unique shade and I can see how it got it’s name. The metallic copper shade has a blackened base that makes it really beautiful for a smoky eye. You can blend the metallic hue away from the edges to diffuse it into a smoky look.
The shades in the palette are:
- Ounce – ivory shimmer
- Chaser – light nude matte
- Sauced – soft terra-cotta matte
- Low Blow – brown matte
- Lumbre – copper shimmer with gold pearl shift
- He Devil – burnt red matte
- Dirty Talk – metallic burnt red
- Scorched – metallic deep red with gold micro-shimmer
- Cayenne – deep terra-cotta matte
- En Fuego – burgundy matte
- Ashes – deep reddish brown matte
- Ember – deep metallic copper burgundy
The shades and vibe of the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette is just so yummy that Urban Decay decided to come out with coordinating Vice Lipsticks and 24/7 Liners to create a Naked Heat Collection.
The Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($21 CAD) shades in the collection include the beautiful warm peachy nude Fuel, the metallic copper Scorched, and the burnt red with gold pearl Heat. Fuel is a beautiful cream finish nude and I am loving the incredibly wet glossy look of Heat with golden shimmer that peaks through. Mind you it leaves behind a lot of gold glitter on your lips as it wears away.
The two Urban 24/7 Eye Pencils ($25 CAD) in the collection are Torch (sienna) and the stunning Alkaline (deep wine). Both liners are richly pigmented, smooth, and creamy.
And now it’s swatch time!
Are you excited for this launch? So beautiful! <3

I like Alkaline. There are hardly any colors in this that would be wearable for me. Sad to say.
