There are so many things to love about the Too Faced Summer 2017 Collection. The new launches revolve around everyday, natural beauty. Products you can reach for on a daily basis for beautiful and wearable makeup looks.
The star of the show is the Too Faced Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Collection ($59 US/$69 CAD) is a beautiful palette of 30 neutral eyeshadows. There are beloved shades from previous palettes like Natural Eyes, Natural Matte, and Natural At Night, along with some brand new shades. There are a mix 7 mattes, 13 shimmers, and 10 sparkle shade. I actually really like this palette. Too Faced limited edition eyeshadow palettes can be pretty hit or miss, and of course every shade in the palette isn’t perfect, but overall the quality is good. I love the range of shades and finishes and you can create an almost endless array of beautiful eye looks. You can go natural or smokey, subdued or metallic. So many possibilities at, what I think, is a good price for the amount of eyeshadows you receive. The packaging also happens to be lovely. Whimsical and pretty with soft felt details.
The new Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter ($30 US/$38 CAD) was such a pleasant surprise for me. I was expecting these to be more frosty/metallic than I like but the finish is actually gorgeous. I have the champagne shade, Blinded by the Light, and it is the perfect natural (yet luminous and glowing) highlight for fair skin. It can be built up for more of a wet intense shine but applied normally it gives skin a beautiful natural sheen that isn’t at all glittery. Love! Other shades available are Ray of Light (rose gold) and You Light Up My Life (gold).
Continuing to embrace the Too Faced Peanut Butter trend is the new Too Faced Peanut Butter and and Honey Eye Shadow Collection ($36 US/$45 CAD). While the signature shade in the palette, Honey Buns, isn’t my personal cup of tea, there are some really great neutral shadows in this palette. I find myself completely infatuated with Queen Bee for some reason. I also happen to love this style of Too Faced palette where they give you generous sized pans of the base shades you always end up using the most of. Very practical! Mind you, generous or not, I’m still putting a hefty dent in the large pans in my fave Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette.
For summer there are some new shade additions to the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Lipstick ($21 US/$25 CAD) range. I’m not a matte liquid lipstick fan but the formula on these is actually really nice. The formula is enriched with Avocado Oil, Vitamin E, and Hyaluronic Filling Spheres so they aren’t near as dry as most that I have tried. With the exception of Holy Chic! these are all quite dark against my fair skin but I am loving the uniqueness of these shades. The formula gives full opaque color coverage and outstandingly long wear.
The 6 new shades are:
- Holy Chic! – matte blushing nude
- Suck It – matte rosewood
- Wine Not? – matte deep sangria
- Granny Panties – matte vintage mauve
- Jawbreaker – matte bright orchid
- Wicked – matte emerald
The Too Faced Chocolate Brow-nie Cocoa Powder Brow Pencil ($23 US) is a brow pencil that smells like chocolate. It’s weirdly fabulous! It’s actually a really great brow pencil. It has the angular calligraphy tip that allows great precision while still filling in brows efficiently. It has the perfect balance of firmness (for control) and color deposit. It’s really easy to work with. Taupe is a little dark for me but the formula is so nice I may stick with it! Plus my brows smell like chocolate. YUM!
Have you tried any of these new launches for summer from Too Faced? What are your faves?
