Dior has harnessed their backstage expertise in the redesign of their Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes ($62 US/$63 CAD). These genius palettes have almost everything you need to create a full eye look. Just add mascara and go! There is a colour lock primer shadow that works as a base shade as well as a primer in the bottom left pan. It is a powder formula. There are then 2 satiny finish eyeshadows in the centre and top left pans. The top right pan contains a gorgeous shimmering highlighter that deposits a sheer layer of multidimensional glimmer. The bottom right pan holds a cream eyeliner in a perfectly coordinated hue.

These palettes are perfect for getting ready quickly in the morning. The palettes all offer perfectly colour coordinated shades that yield a luminous, sculpted effect. The shades aren’t highly contrasted making the resulting eye look soft, easy to blend, and perfect for everyday. The shadows are incredibly creamy and smooth. There is no powder kick up. They apply with a medium level of pigmentation that gives a softly contoured luminous effect that is incredibly classy. These aren’t the kinds of palettes you would turn to when you are looking for drama. Rather they are they kinds of palettes that you know you can turn to everyday for a natural, sophisticated eye look.
There are a total of six shade combinations available. I have five of them to share with you. Missing is 708 Amber Design.
