Guys! I am so in love with the new MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua XL Color Paint ($25 US/$31 CAD)! These are just absolute perfection! Particularly these two shades that I’ve tested. Heck, who knows, maybe there are even more phenomenal ones in the 2o shade range, but these two are so perfect for both my personal and professional use that I need doubles stat!
These cream shadows offer rich pigmentation but with a very light texture. A little goes a very long way. It took me quite a while to get used to just how tiny of an amount I needed to squeeze out to apply to both eyes. The texture is much thinner, while still offering amazing colour payoff, than the MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream shadows in the pot. The formula is a blend of silicone resin, polymer, and oil for long lasting, waterproof wear. And these babies really are waterproof and budgeproof. Even soap and water won’t remove them. You need a cleansing oil or makeup remover.
Silicone oil gives the Color Paints their smooth glide and blendability. Micro spheres are responsible for the lightweight texture. While mango butter ensures comfortable wear that won’t dry out sensitive eyelids.
The packaging is fantastic. These little squeeze tubes mean no mess and they are perfectly hygienic. So much better for my professional kit than the potted creams I’ve been using.
There are 20 shades available. The two I have are I-50, which is the most stunning iridescent warm beige, and M-52, which is a matte pale beige (much lighter than it appears online) that makes the perfect eyeshadow base. There are a total of 12 matte shades, 4 iridescent shades, and 4 shimmer shades available in a variety of neutrals and more colourful options. I definitely need to pick up more of these!
Have you tried these yet? I would love to hear what your favorite shades are and what ones you’ll be picking up next.
I got M-52 as well and I love it. Perfect eye base for fair gals.
