The Bite Beauty brand name has become synonymous with quality in the beauty world when it comes to lip products. Their various iterations of lipsticks, and indulgent agave lip masks, are beauty junkie favourites. This Canadian brand uses natural, food grade, and organic ingredients to hand make their products. Given the incredible quality and craftmenship of their products, beauty lovers have been longing for the brand to expand beyond just lip products. The release of the new Bite Beauty Multisticks ($24 US/$28 CAD) is the beginning of the brand branching out into new territory. While these Multisticks are indeed a lip product, they are also intended for use on cheeks and eyes.
The silicone free fromula is composed of 35% powder. This gives it an easy to blend cream formula that sets to a more powder finish. I find it doesn’t completely dry down but transforms to more of a natural skin like texture and finish. When blended out these give an absolutely beautiful soft focus effect. They look lovely on the cheeks and I think this is my favorite use of the product. The pigmented sticks blend easily onto the skin for a natural flush of colour.
I also love these Multisticks on the lips. My favourite way to apply them is directly from the bullet and then blended in with a finger. They apply with full, opaque colour coverage on the lips. It’s like this formula yearns to be touched. A quick swipe with a finger softens the almost glaring opacity of the formula and brings out an incredibly flattering soft focus finish. They look equally beautiful lightly patted on the lips from your finger for a hint of colour, or applied more dramatically, and with more precision, with a lip brush.
Wearing these on the eyes is what I would consider to be a bonus use of the product, rather than the focus. As you can imagine, these don’t particularly excel for use on the eyes. The pigmented and easy to blend formula does make these easy to use and blend out on the eyes. You can apply a more concentrated amount on the lid and then blend it out into the crease. The looks particularly beautiful with the rich brown shades. They do crease though, less so when used with an eyeshadow primer, making them less than ideal for use on the eyes. It is handy for when you are in a rush and want a product that you can conveniently do almost your complete, coordinated, makeup look with. Applying a very subtle wash of colour on the lids also aids in reducing the creasing.
I think these Bite Beauty Multisticks are another exceptional product from Bite Beauty. The overwhelming positive reviews coming out from the beauty community and Sephora consumers alike will attest to their quality. The small size, and multi-funtionality, make them absolutely perfect for tossing in your handbag. Some of my favorite shades are Macaroon, Papaya, Mascarpone, Cashew, and Biscotti.
Apologies for the typos in a couple of the shade names above.
