Yves Saint Laurent is taking an edgier approach with their Fall 2014 Cuirs Fétiches Collection. Think rocker chic. Sensual and rebellious. From the burnished tones to the varying textures and finishes this collection perfectly expresses the juxtaposition of leather in all its versions.
“I am fascinated by the incredible depths of colour and texture of this noble material. And particularly by its different textured finishes: weathered, polished, grained, burnished… I wanted to explore the variations of leather in one single collection that would be perfect for Fall 2014.” Lloyd Simmonds

The star piece of the collection is the Couture Palette Collector Palette Fétiche ($64 CAD). Embrace biker chic style with this full-grain leather embossed palette. This luxury palette of opulent shades can be used to create a multitude of modern looks by mixing and matching the 5 gorgeous shades.

The formulation of these new YSL 5 Colour Couture Eyeshadow Palettes is incredible. (If you want to see all the permanent Couture palettes swatched by someone who is as particular about their eyeshadow formulas as I am then head on over to naturalNchicmakeup.) Such rich colours and intense pigmentation. The Palette Fétiche is a versatile grouping of shades that lean towards a more intense, impactful, and smokey eye look.

The shades are:
- Base: Bright Copper, a nude, iridescent camel shade.
- Highlighter: Warm Gold, a luminous gold.
- 1, 2, 3 Colours: Amazon Green, a dense, deep green; Opulent Brown, a varnished/glossy brown shade; Infused Black, an intense matte black.

These shadows are smooth, pigmented, blend beautifully, and wear all day. If you are a sucker for fall shades like I am then you are going to love this neutral yet bold palette.
The Yves Saint Laurent Cuirs Fétiches Collection for Fall 2014 should be hitting counters in August 2014.
