I just had to share this step-by-step how to from Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador, on this beautiful swan nail look inspired by a pattern at the Stella McCartney Winter 2016 show. See the inspiration here:
“There was a vintage upholstery feeling to a lot of the textures and materials. Of course this looks like a difficult nail to recreate but by spreading out the pattern over the fingers it’s more of an abstract brushy pattern.” Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador
The four Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure shades used where
- Dark Hue-mor
- Kook A Mango
- In Full Blue-m
- Let’s Snow
Step One – Paint the nails with two coats of Sally Hansen CSM “Dark Hue-mor“
Step Two – Use a striping brush to paint the water reflection in Sally Hansen CSM “In Full Blue-m” use a stroking motion.
Step Three – Paint swan shapes in Sally Hansen CSM “Let’s Snow” using a striping brush.
Step Four – Apply a small triangle of Sally Hansen CSM “Kook A Mango” for the bill of the swan
Would you give this a try? I think I could actually do this! I just need to get my nails grown back out.
