I have super fine, thin, curly hair. I need all the volume I can get. The best way for me to get volume, and substance out of my hair is with texture building products. I am a huge fan of the scent and performance of the Moroccanoil hair products so you can imagine my delight when I found out they were launching a new Moroccanoil Texture line.
I haven’t been using the Texture Clay yet as it doesn’t fit the styles I usually wear, but I have been using the original oil, and the new Beach Wave Mousse and Dry Texture Spray as part of my regular hair routine these days and I couldn’t be happier.
Moroccanoil Texture Clay ($28 CAD/75ml) – This unisex, moldable clay can be used to give hair sculpted and piecey definition with a matte finish. It is formulated with a blend of argan oil, shea butter and bentonite clay. The clay takes a little time to set so it allows you time to build the texture and style you are looking to achieve before setting for all day frizz control and hold with a non-sticky, non-greasy finish.
Moroccanoil Treatment Original ($47 CAD/100ml) – I’m sure you’ve heard by now about the top selling, award winning Moroccanoil treatment that pioneered oil-infused hair care and created the worldwide buzz on argan oil. This wonderful oil treatment is a wonderful conditioning, styling and finishing tool, infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins that detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine.
Moroccanoil Beach Wave Mousse ($30 CAD/175ml) – This mousse is like a marriage of sea salt spray and mousse. All with a salt free formula that won’t dry hair. I get amazing curl hold with this mousse. Like any mousse you have to ensure you don’t apply too much to avoid crunchy curls. The great thing about this mousse is that even if I go a little overboard, I get amazing curls and I can just scrunch and play with them to soften them up and they last all day. I am really curious to see how people with straighter hair than myself make out with this mousse. It is formulated to offer long long-lasting textured beach hair for an effortlessly windswept, wave look. It even has UV absorbers to protect hair from sun damage and maintain color vibrancy.
Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray ($30 CAD/205ml) I love this for building volume at the roots and through the length of my hair. It’s a dry argan-oil infused texture spray that includes a particle matrix of high-performance resins and zeolite form a bond between hairs for a texturized hold with a dry, gritty finish. It’s great for prepping hair for long lasting, slip free braids and up-dos.
