This week the Makeup Wars team is highlighting our favorite product that is updating our look for spring. I am a lover of colour and the return of spring always brings my love of colour into high gear. I’m always looking for wearable ways to incorporate more beautiful shades into my beauty routine. The MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Palette Volume 3 – Florals ($52 CAD/$44 US) is the perfect palette to add some spring floral hues into your life.

This palette includes nine 0.05 oz Artist Shadows. Eight eyeshadows and one glowing coral pink blush. I think by now everyone is aware of how amazing the Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow formula is. Rich, vibrant, pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend. These shadows are always a dream to work with. This palette performed beautifully for me. The yellow was a touch less pigmented than a typical Artist Shadow but still built up well, and I experienced a bit of fading with Lavender after 6+ hours wear, but these were minor issues overall.

Shades included are:
- ME-230 Peacock Blue
- D-236 Lagoon Blue
- S-404 Straw Yellow,
- I-544 Pink Granite
- ME-512 Golden Beige
- ME-930 Black Purple
- I-918 Lavender
- I-528 Pearl
- I-804 Golden Pink
What I love most about this palette is that it is so colourful, playful, and offers such variety in shades yet at the same time the colours are actually very wearable. They are fun and flirty but not too “crazy”. It is possible to create a full eye look using just the shades in this palette, which I will demonstrate below, but I think the best way to use this palette is to have it on hand to incorporate some touches of colour into your more “neutral” makeup looks. A little touch of spring colour inspiration for the eyes on hand in one versatile palette.

Here is the look I created with Lavender on the lid, Black Purple on the outer v into the crease, Pink Granite in the crease, Pearl on the inner corner and brow bone, Golden Beige on the middle portion of the lower lash line, and Peacock Blue on the outer portion of the lower lash line.
