The Maison Kitsuné for shu uemura Collection is the result of a partnership of two of the world’s foremost innovators in the arts of fashion, music, and beauty. Colliding East and West to create a neo-classic interpretation of shu uemura’s art of beauty. Mason Kitsuné, with it’s contemporary vision of fashion, influenced by Paris and Tokyo, and known for reinventing the “classics” while mixing them with a daring range of colors, prints, and materials, brings a modern and chic touch to this collection.

The collection features two Beauty Remix Smokey Eye & Cheek Palettes ($85 CAD). These palettes including a mix of bold and chic colours and finishes for a fresh twist on the Western smokey eye and Tokyo street girl’s high cheek.
The palette I have is #indigo. A happy collision between effortless French style smokey eye in navy and pink blush under eyes inspired by a youthful Toko spirit. #indigo includes :
Pressed eye shadows in:
- P Navy
- IR Black 985
- P Soft Blue
- G Gold
- IR White
- G Soft Green
- G Deep Pink
and Glow on Pink Blush.
The other palette is #plum. An unusual mixture of classic French inspired smokey eyes in burgundy shades and Tokyo’s trendy vibe with orange blush accenting the upper edge.
These are such fun palettes. They are certainly for the more adventurous beauty lover due to the inclusion of so many shades of shu uemura’s stunning glitter eye shadows. I am a huge fan of shu uemura eye shadows and can’t wait to incorporate these shades into many looks. These shades are perfect for use year round.
There are four specially decorated Play & Remix Drawing Pencils ($28 CAD) in the collection. These include existing shades G Gold and G Silver, as well as two new shades M Indigo and M Plum. These creamy matte liners are a dream to work with. They glide on like butter with intense pigment and they will not budge once set. And when I say they won’t budge I mean it. Micellar water wouldn’t even touch my swatches. I had to scrub hard with cleansing oil to even remove them!
For a really playful look you can incorporate one of the two sets of false lashes included in the collection. Not shown is Jewel-Fur-for-a-Wink ($35 CAD). They are absolutely stunning partial tapered back lashes accented with burgundy feathers and jewel encrusted silver bands.
Shown are the Tricolour-in-a-Blink lashes ($35 CAD). They are small partial cross lashes in black accented with French colors of blue, white, and red.
My absolute favourite products in the collection are the new Laque Sparkler ($35 CAD). These lip lacquers are beyond gorgeous. They have a formula similar to the YSL Glossy Stains but BETTER. Intense pigment and glossy shine in a formula that lasts for hours upon hours. Once set the colour adheres to lips while the glossy layer moves to the outer layer. You can actually gently kiss the back of your hand and no color will be transferred. Only a hint of clear gloss.
These shades are saturated and vibrant and include a fine gold pearl for a warm luminous finish. I am obsessed!

Cleansing Oil Shampoo Gentle Radiance Cleanser – this shampoo gently cleanses impurities from the hair and balances the scalp for naturally radiant, soft and volumized hair.
Essence Absolue Nourishing Nourishing Protective Oil – infused with camellia oil it nourishes hair and protects it from dryness, frizz, and UV damage.
