I’m sure if you follow my blog you know that Le Metier de Beaute eyeshadows are among my favourite cosmetic items in the whole world. They offer incredible pigment, smoothness, blendability (spell check keeps telling me that’s not a word but I say it is!), and layering possibilities. The shade Fig has been on my wishlist since I discovered the brand but for some crazy reason it has taken me until now to finally get it. I am so happy I made it part of my most recent Zuneta order.
A full range of complimentary and highly-blendable shades, used alone or in combination to give radiant dimension to the eyes. Superior fine-pressed quality gives true buildable color—smooth together for subtle gradations or layer colors on, one atop another, in semi-translucent layers for a perfectly dimensional effect. Goes on perfectly even. Our quadruple milling process transforms pigments to luxurious weightlessness, strong coverage and their truest, most vibrant color. Finishes including matte, shimmer and satin.
Fig does not disappoint. It’s a gorgeous deep, warm burgundy shade. I think I was expecting it to be a little bit more purple but regardless it is gorgeous!
Compared to other Le Metier de Beaute shades in the same colour family Ikat from the Silk Road Kaleidoscope is a silk matte finish rather than shimmer and is not nearly as purple toned, Bordeaux is much more brown toned in comparison, while Alexandrite is a bit sheerer and lighter while being close in tone.
You can find Le Metier de Beaute online at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, and Zuneta.
