Until I recently tested the KEUNE products I had never heard of the brand. Learning about the history of KEUNE I am wondering how on earth this brand could have possibly escaped my knowledge this long. KEUNE was first established back in 1922 by chemist Jan Keune becoming the first perm manufacturer in Europe. The line expanded to styling products in 1950 with the introduction of a hairspray to the line. In 1977 they were one of the first companies in the world to introduce a hair gel. Fast forward to today, over 90 years later, and they have an extensive range of hair care, styling, perming, and colour products with offices all over the world.
I was testing out products from the KEUNE Design Repair line. This line features Organic Argan Oil to strengthen hair while adding shine and softness. Panthenol controls the moisture balance while Polymers improve comb-ability.

KEUNE Design Repair Shampoo – For strengthened, glossy hair with regained vitality. This shampoo does contain sulphates, which I try to avoid, so I use it only 1-2x per week. It leaves my hair feeling cleansed yet soft and tangle free. I haven’t noticed any accelerated colour fading with it’s use.
KEUNE Design Repair Treatment – Intensively strengthens the hair and repairs split ends. I use this thick, rich repair treatment in place of a conditioner. It does a beautiful job of softening my fine damaged hair leaving it tangle free without weighing it down.
KEUNE Design Repair Protein Spray – For instant protection and conditioning of your hair. I use this as a leave in conditioning treatment and also use it prior to colouring my hair to help even porosity. It includes Green Tea and Chamomile Extracts that work as anti-oxidants. A multi vitamin complex protects the hair and scalp.

KEUNE Design Jelly Wax – This product performs as a wax on dry hair and as a gel on wet hair. It’s flexible hold has been working great as a curl cream leaving my hair with a natural gloss and nice volume. It has a hold factor of 6 and shine factor of 5 scored out of 10.
You can use their salon finder to find a salon near you that uses KEUNE.
