Just in time for summer there are four delicious new shades of Clarins Lip Comfort Oil ($26 US/$25 CAD) and one of them is SHIMMERY! I love these lip oils, especially for this time of year, because they offer subtle colour, glossy shine, yummy fragrances, AND they nourish, hydrate, and protect your lips.
The new shades are:
- 04 Candy – This is actually an “intelligent” pigment colour adjusting shade. I love this kind of personalized colour in tinted balms and lip glosses so I’m excited to now have one in a lip oil. It’s always so fresh and flattering. The flavour on this one is a mix of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. Mmmmm.
- 05 Tangerine – Another “intelligent” colour adjusting shade, this time with a coral hue. One of my fave shades for summer lips. The fragrance is red currant based.
- 06 Honey Glam – I think my heart may have momentarily stopped when I pulled this gold glittering beauty out of it’s box. A shimmering Clarins Lip Comfort Oil? Yes please! This transparent honey lip oil is infused with multi-faceted shimmering pearls for an ultra glossy and shimmering lip treatment. It’s freaking GORGEOUS. Great as a topper as well.
- 07 Mint – This refreshing lip oil combines the glossy shine and nourishing benefits of the Lip Comfort Oils with the subtle plumping effects of menthol. And no your lips don’t look green!

My only complaint about these lip oils is that they aren’t very good for your handbag as they tend to leak a bit and get messy around the cap.
