Certain products just have a way of setting your heart a flutter and the Dior Diorskin products always do that for me. The Summer 2014 Transat Collection certainly did not let me down with these stunning Diorskin Nude Shimmer Powders in 001 Pink and 002 Amber.
Diorskin Nude Shimmer in 002 Amber is a gorgeous glowing bronze. I was at first fearful it would be too warm and orange toned on my skintone but rather it imparts a gentle bronze glow to the skin that leaves it looking radiant and sun kissed.
The Diorskin Nude Shimmer Powder in 001 Pink is a dream come true for me. When you swirl your brush in the compact to mix the shades together it creates the most beautiful pink that flashes bronze. It is just gorgeous. If you keep your brush mainly to the bronze quadrants you get a beautiful natural pinked bronze shade that is perfect as a bronzer for those will pale, cool complexions.
If you know me well you will know that I am a bit of a shimmerphobe. I don’t like any glitter on my face or strong shimmer. I love products that provide glow through natural looking, highly refined shimmer for more of a sheen than a shimmer. These Diorskin Shimmer products have a very high quality refined and sophisticated shimmer and while the effect is a natural and glowy sheen it is on the stronger side. I wouldn’t recommend heavy application for speeding a day out in the sun but for gloomy days and sultry evenings these powders offer skin the most amazing illuminated glow. Love.
The powders come in the lovely, and hefty, solid quality shiny quilted compacts. A velvet pouch is rolled up and included in the box along with a travel sized adorable kabuki brush.
The Dior Summer 2014 Transat Collection becomes available May 1st, 2014 nationwide at Dior counters and TheBay.com. The Diorskin Nude Shimmer powders will not be available at Holt Renfrew. The most exciting news… The Diorskin Nude Shimmer Powders are becoming part of the permanent line.

I too love Painterly! Sometimes I mix it up with Soft Ochre to reduce any redness.
