I thought I’d try a really bold emerald green eye look to test out my La La Lashes Drama Queen (£5.99) false lashes. I applied Malachite from the Yves Saint Laurent Y Facettes Eye Palette on my lid, Edward Bess Intimate in the crease, Fyrinnae Jade Ghost on inner corner and on center of lid close to lash line, and Fyrinnae Eternal Innocence on outer third of lid into crease and as liner over Yves Saint Laurent Dessin du Regard Waterproof black liner. I used the same pencil in my waterlines. I have become such a fan of green and I am loving the selection of Emerald as the Pantone Color of the Year. I think it’s a beautiful backdrop to the attention grabbing lashes.
I did remove a good sized chunk of the lashes from the inner corner as my eyes are quite small and they didn’t seem to want to sit on the inner quarter of my lashline even with a small section removed. These are VERY dramatic lashes. Hence the name Drama Queen! The offer quite the impact but still felt fairly comfortable on and, while quite thick, the band was not too obtrusive looking. They are super black with a glossy finish so mascara is certainly not required. I applied a light amount to help blend in my natural lashes in the look above.
I don’t think I’d be bold enough to wear these lashes out but if you love a look that’s all about lashes you will like these.
