The Clarins Hydra-Essential products are like a drink of water for the skin. If you suffer from dryness and/or dehydration of the skin then you will love these products that feature organic leaf of life extract to boost skin’s hyaluronic acid product.
The Clarins Hydra-Essential Intensive Moisture Quenching Bi-Phase Serum ($ US/$56 CAD) is a watery texture bi-phase liquid that is immediately absorbed into the skin to boost it’s natural hydration retention. I haven’t been using the serum daily as I have some other hydrating serums in my routine right now and I find this one a touch too fragranced for my personal tastes. It is quite effective though. Serums like this are also a great option for women who have more combination/oily skin types whose skin is dehydrated and want options for hydrating their skin without heavy moisturizers.
Now on to my bestie, the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Rich Cream for Very Dry Skin ($46 CAD). Oh how I love this cream. It has a light texture that melts into the skin yet it hydrates intensley and it leaves skin feeling soft, supple, and greasy in a good way. I know that sounds odd doesn’t it? But even though it absorbs beautifully into the skin, it still also leaves a bit of slightly oily (in a good way for me) layer on the skin that keeps it feeling hydrated all night into the next morning. I even had someone ask me in the morning after a late night of partying how the heck I looked so radiant. It was this cream! There is no rich, heaviness to it. No tackiness or stickiness. Just a beautiful, light greasiness. I know that sounds bizarre because you are thinking of that in bad terms but I adore it. It has made an incredible difference in the hydration level of my skin since I started using it. Want to know how in love I am. It’s almost empty:
Trust me. Empty products don’t happen around here very often!
If you have dry skin I highly recommend this cream. There are is also a Cooling Gel version for Normal to Combination skin and a Silky Cream version for Normal to Dry Skin.
Have you tried any skincare from Clarins lately?
