Today I’m going to share with you some more Burberry pretties. First up we have two shades of Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipstick ($36 CAD/$33 US). Cameo Rose is the loveliest soft nude pink colour with a subtle shimmer. It is such a flattering shade. Boysenberry is a vibrant sheer berry with a subtle iridescence. I don’t believe either of these shades are new.
This is my first time trying this formula and it is very nice. It feels so incredibly silky and light on the lips. There is no waxiness or creaminess. Just a weightless, hydrating feeling and a very glossy transucent look. I did find these disappeared fairly quickly off the lips but they are so easy to apply and comfortable to wear that I didn’t really mind. The formula is a lightweight gel infused with rosehip, tea and lavender.
A new product to the Burberry range is the Burberry Eye Colour Contour Smoke & Sculpt Pen ($32 CAD/$29 US). These cream shadow sticks are ultra creamy and easy to blend. The domed shape fits perfectly into the crease of the eye and the shape is also precise enough that you can use them to line the eyes. I found these to blend really beautifully in a full eye look whether with your fingers or a brush. I wore the matte Almond in the crease, shimmering Pale Copper on the lid, and used Midnight Brown on the outer v into the crease and the result was a gorgeous nude, subtly smokey eye look. Without a primer I experienced some mild creasing that wasn’t noticeable from a regular viewing distance. With a primer these didn’t crease at all. They also lasted the full day for me with minimal fading (even without a primer).
Shown are Almond, Pale Copper, and Midnight Brown. Other available shades are:
- Natural
- Rosewood
- Dusky Mauve
- Stone Grey
