Bite Beauty recently replaced their Luminous Creme lipsticks with the new Amuse Bouche formula. The collection was released in an impressive range of 34 shades. For more details check out my Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick review. Bite Beauty has recently launched a collection of 6 new, incredibly pigmented, dimensional shades of Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26 US/$30 CAD). The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Sweet & Savory Collection includes four new permanent shades as well as two that are limited edition. The Sweet & Savory collection for Summer 2016 is an adventurous mix of fun and playful shades that will be sure to add some variety to your looks.

As a refresher on the formula, the Amuse Bouche lipsticks are hand crafted in Canada in small batches. They are full of hydrating nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils to provide not only a beautiful texture and experience but to achieve healthier, more beautiful lips with every use. The lipsticks are formulated with 12 edible oils to give them a moisturizing and creamy texture while fresh pressed fruits provide the natural citrus flavor. These lipsticks feel so nice on the lips and offer some of the most impressive colour coverage I’ve ever seen. The new shades are no exception.

The lipsticks are packaged in soft feeling matte grey tubes with a bite shape out of the tip of the cap. For some reason the cap on Thistle, Taro, and Lavender Jam is shaped differently. I’m not sure why. I thought maybe it was to denote the limited edition shades but only Taro and Lavender Jam are LE.
The Sweet & Savory shades are:

Thistle – mauve infused taupe. I had been hoping this would be a nude pink shade but it actually has a sultry quality and applies deeper on my skin tone than I had anticipated. Not that this is a bad thing. It is an absolutely gorgeous dusky mauve shade. So beautiful.

Taro (limited edition) – amethyst with grey undertones. This is such a cool shade. It is a deep grey purple. It’s an unusual and adventurous shade that manages to be very wearable.

Lavender Jam (limited edition) – electric blue violet. This shade is so, so much fun! So gorgeous.

Whiskey – rich mahogany with red. This is such a modern take on a red brown. I quite like it!

Squid Ink – deep navy with black. Blue lipsticks are usually hard to pull off. This one, while not as 100% opaque as Kale, is almost perfectly opaque and offers the most impressive colour coverage of any blue lipstick I’ve seen. It is really an impressive bold shade.

Kale – deep hunter green with black. Usually the pigmentation on green lipsticks is uneven and lacking. This is the most exceptional green lipstick I have ever seen. Such rich, opaque colour coverage and a glossy sheen. If you are looking for a statement colour this is it!

The formula on these lipsticks is absolutely exceptional. I can’t get over the quality, comfort, and colour payoff of these lipsticks. Bite Beauty has truly taken the creation of lipsticks and turned it into an art form. I am blown away. Now if only I can work up the nerve to wear some of these killer shades because these beauties deserve to be worn!
