The new Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer has got to be the cutest darn makeup primer out there. The packaging features a black stick with white and hot pink lettering with a clear lid (revealing the white underneath) lid with POLKA DOTS! Just looking at this makes me happy. I have it proudly displayed on my desk/vanity because polka dots just make any day happier.
Now don’t let her pretty face throw you. This primer stick is hard working, effective, and delivers on it’s promise of enhanced longevity, performance, and coverage of the foundation you pair it with. It has worked well with the various formulas I’ve tried.
My skin may be dry, but even my skin needs help in this summer heat to stay fresh looking for the day. The primer has a beige appearance in it’s stick form but it goes on translucent and clear with a silky feel. The silicone based primer glides smoothly over skin filling wrinkles and pores and giving foundation something to grab onto and hold on tight. I find the stick application really quick and practical. I apply it to mainly to the center of my face and blend out gently with my fingers prior to applying my foundation. It feel light on the skin and my makeup applies over it easily as long as I don’t apply too much primer.
