The AERIN cosmetics line is a very curated line that is all about getting the most versatility and performance out of a select amount of products. The new AERIN Essentials Collection brings us a carefully edited selection of AERIN products that are sure to become essentials for any woman who tries them. One of the new pieces is the AERIN Kaleidolight Palette ($78 CAD/$70 US).
The palette is housed in a sleek gold compact. I love AERIN’s no nonsense, no wasted space approach to packaging. The palette comes in a beautiful soft pink suede drawstring pouch.
Inside the mirrored compact are six areas in the palette of varying sizes. Each large enough to be used individually or you can swirl a kabuki brush across the entire palette. The shades include light-enhancing shades of bronze, beige, pink, and lavender to add subtle glow to the complexion or to be used on eyes and cheeks.
The shade offering in the Kaleidolight Palette is universally flattering and well thought out. The only think I could nitpick about would be I would trade one of the similar beige shades in for a lighter shade with more shimmer for a more intense highlight. All of the shades offer the subtlest of glow without visible shimmer. The large bottom right bronze shade offers the tiniest bit more delicate shimmer. The powders are soft and smooth without being powdery. This palette really gives the skin the loveliest subtle glow to highlight and enhance your complexion as well as contour. It will work on a wide array of skin tones but I think it will be especially flattering on those with light-medium to medium complexions. It’s hard to describe but there is just something about the quality of the formula of powder that is so pretty on the skin.
The new AERIN Essentials Collection is available now at Holt Renfrew Toronto Bloor Street, Yorkdale, Calgary, and Vancouver as well as at EsteeLauder.ca in Canada. It is available in the US at Neiman Marcus and Saks.
