One of the categories of products that I find to be most lacking in the drugstore beauty market is quality single eyeshadows. Eyeshadow singles are just not something that have been readily available from drugstore brands, let alone in a formula that offers beautiful pigmentation and blendability. For Spring 2016 RIMMEL LONDON has introduced their new RIMMEL LONDON Magnif-Eyes Mono Eyeshadow ($5.99 CAD). The product is currently available in 6 shades. The 6 shades are actually a perfect range of finishes and depth of color to give an amazing variety of looks.

The six available shades are:
- Q-Jump – a shimmering white
- Poser – a shimmering iridescent pale pink
- All About the Base – a soft matte neutral brown
- Gold Record – A shimmering gold
- VIP Pass – a rich shimmering warm brown
- Black Fender – an intensely pigmented satin black

All About the Base is such an amazing crease shade. It’s a neutral brown that pairs well with warmer and cooler tones. VIP Pass and Black Fender make an absolutely stunning smokey eye. Gold Record and VIP Pass of course make a beautiful combo. There is just so much to love with these shadows. They apply well with great colour payoff. They blend beautifully and last all day. My only wish would be that they released a soft pale nude shade in a matte or satin finish as a base shade. Q-Jump is a great highlight shade in the inner corner, on the lid, or very lightly dusted on the browbone but is a little too intense for use as a base shade from crease to brow.
Have you tried these new eyeshadow singles? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
