The more I experience the YSL La Laque Couture nail polish formula the more addicted I become. The two new offerings for the Spring 2013 Arty Stone collection, Jade Imperial and Bronze Pyrite, have solidified my admiration for the formula.
The YSL La Laque Couture formula boasts a high concentration of lacquers for pure colour. Extreme shine and resistance through the use of high-tech polymers combined with micro-mirrors to create a resistant film and assure lasting shine. Rosehip oil and Coralline extract help nourish and strengthen nails. The formula is fast drying due to the “structure memory” formula. And one of my favourite features is the patented brush design. It glides on the nail with ease and precision giving a flawless application. Love!
Jade Imperial, an “arty” jade green, is a new permanent shade. This has enough of a murky quality to keep it from looking too garish and making it perfect for anytime of year. Well in my mind anyways! It is a flawless cream finish.
Bronze Pyrite is the limited edition collector metal “jewel” of the collection. I am totally smitten with this shade! Rather than having a super frosty metallic finish it has a gorgeous brushed metal finish just like Essie Penny Talk that I love so much. it is a gorgeous slightly khaki toned pewter.
These are both stand out shades. They apply beautifully and are practically opaque in one coat. Two coats is more than enough to ensure a perfect finish. I am going to be getting a lot of use out of these and there is no need for me to wait for spring to do so.
Available as of January 2013 at Holt Renfrew and selected The Bay, Sephora, and Murale Boutiques. Available in the US at Nordstrom, Barneys, and Neiman Marcus.
