I don’t know about you but I happen to adore the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine ($35 US/$39 CAD) formula. The absolutely stunning and luxurious packaging paired with the formula’s light texture, glossy shine, and delicious scent makes these lipsticks a huge yes for me. Chock full of hyaluronic acid microspheres, anti-oxidants and emollients this lipstick feels amazing on and hydrates lips. I mean just look at that packaging. How can you not swoon. Mind you they are quite heavy so you may not want to let your handbag get weighed down with a large assortment of YSL lippies. I happen to love their heft. The packaging is of such excellent quality and is a beauty to behold. The way they show the lipstick shade recessed behind the YSL logo engravings on the tube is not only gorgeous but practical.
The shade Rose Intime is a lovely intense fuchsia tinged rose. Don’t let the shade in the tube intimidate you. It has just the right amount of brightness to give it life without being too bold and in your face. The softly transparent finish and glossy sheen leave lips looking juicy and full.
I can see this shade becoming a quick favourite. Typically I find shades like this a little too much for me to feel comfortable wearing too often but the formula and finish of Rose Intime is perfection and makes it incredibly wearable for me.
