TheYves Saint Laurent Couture Face Palette Lumiére de Jour ($55 CAD) for Spring 2015 is truly a collector’s piece. A gorgeous pastel hued sequin effect with black logo ribbon detail adorn the palette. I think I may have to leave this on my vanity for display. It is just so pretty.
Inside is a pale pink (lighter than the promo pictures indicate) shimmering powder that can be used as a highlighter or all over the face.
There is a fair amount of delicate sparkle meaning I would reserve this for evening use all over the complexion. The effect as a highlighter is rather subtle as the finely milled pink powder offers a sheer veil on the skin. I think even on deeper skin tones the powder itself will not offer a strong highlighting effect. Just a subtle wash of shimmer.
The powder is very finely milled and soft. If you are a fan of powders that offer your complexion subtle rosy illumination then you will love the YSL Lumiere de Jour Face Collector Palette. If you are looking for a strong highlighter than I would look elsewhere. I think this is a stunningly packaged collector’s item for Spring 2015.
