One of my favourite lip product formulations are the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stains ($38 CAD). There are two new permanent shade additions to the line as part of the Cuirs Fétiches Collection.
- N° 40 – Beige Peau: a natural, chic, easy-to-wear naked beige. (Shown)
- N° 41 – Brun Cuir: an intense, assertive, sophisticated brown. (Also available)
Brun Cuir is the nude shade the Glossy Stain range has been needing. It is such a perfect naked beige. The underlying stain of this glossy stain is quite peach/coral toned though so depending on how this stain takes on your lips it will alter the shade. On my lips the shade ends up being quite coral. I wish it stayed more the naked beige that it is straight out of the tube. It is still a gorgeous soft nude that will look beautiful with the Fétiche Palette.

Being re-promoted with the Fall collection are two permanent shades of Gloss Volupté. This is actually my first experience with this gloss formula and I should have known with my adoration for YSL lip products that I would fall in love with it! The pigmentation is good, they are non sticky, they have the yummy mango scent, and they have a fabulous shine. The shades are:
- N° 106 – Cuir Grenat – garnet leather
- N° 210 – Beige Nu – nude pink
Beige Nu is becoming one of my favourite nude glosses. It looks beautiful over Nude Acoustic if you want to add some shine to the matte lipstick.
Cuir Grenat is a lovely berry red with hidden shimmer. It has a transparent finish for a deep berry pink on the lips.
The Yves Saint Laurent Cuirs Fétiches Collection for Fall 2014 should be hitting counters in August 2014.
