First of all I must apologize to all of my lovely readers for my lack of posts as of late. I was trying to pump out 1-2 posts per day and lately life has just been getting in the way. I promise to establish some sort of equilibrium again soon. Anyways, I decided I needed to get off my butt and tell you about the fabulous eye cream I was testing out. The sample size I received was a good sized amount in a tiny airless pump. I was able to achieve almost 4 weeks of twice daily use out of it. This eye cream is positively jam packed with outstanding actives. YBF Skincare does an impressive job of including the latest and greatest in skincare ingredients in their products. Another thing I really love is that they include so many of them in each product. I don’t have to buy 5 different products to get all the heavy hitters in my routine that I want because they incorporate them into one product. They have a very refined line of products that includes all the goodies ingredient wise you could ever want in your skincare arsenal.
Testing out this cream I noticed many great features. It smells wonderful in a natural way not a perfumey way (must be the nutmeg butter!). It is a lightweight cream that absorbs well and worked fantastically under my makeup. I noticed a reduction in fine lines and puffiness in my eye area but there was an even more astounding result I saw that made me go wow! I don’t suffer from extreme under eye circles as I know many of you out there do. I have no issues covering up the purpley shadows under my eyes with a bit of concealer. Because of this I don’t hunt down a product targeted at under eye circles and I hadn’t really even paid attention to the fact that the Correct Eye Cream is marketed for that along with wrinkles and puffiness. But, one morning I was about to apply my under eye concealer as part of my daily routine and went “Wait a minute! There is nothing here to cover!” Yup, that right. It had eliminated the darkness under my eyes to the point that I stopped wearing under eye concealer. Unfortunately it was shortly after this that my sample ran out. In the weeks since I’ve been using a couple other samples of eye creams and the circles as well as some of the puffiness have returned.
Another FABULOUS feature of this eye cream is that it is packaged in an airless pump! This is a must for me. I’m pretty insistent on products coming in air tight containers and unfortunately it is far too common for high end, expensive products to come in pretty jars. I find jars unsanitary and also the fact that so many valuable skin cars actives become unstable when exposed to air makes jars a big no no for me.

I have pretty stubborn skin. I don’t usually try a product and become impressed with the results. I usually just keep moving on to something else hoping to see “something” and never finding a product I’m satisfied with. Being without the YBF Correct has made me realize that I need this. The only downside is that this product is far out of my usual skincare budget. I know looking at all the Le Metier de Beaute and Rouge Bunny Rouge I buy you must be thinking I’m made of money LOL but unfortunately I am far, far from it. I am tempted to spend way more than I should by pretty colour products. Committing to spending that kind of money on skincare is much harder for me to do, even though in the long run, quality skin care is far more valuable. I’ll have to keep you posted on whether I cave on this or not. Unfortunately I just went on a bit of a mad shopping spree last week so it is definitely going to have to wait just a little longer but I feel that I must have this product as I miss terribly the results I saw and I’m anxious just to see how far they can go.
