Today marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year. 2016 is the Year of the Monkey and I thought I would do a fun night out look inspired be the holiday. You could wear this to celebrate tonight, or any time you want to feel a little glamorous.
Whenever I am getting ready for a special night out I like to prep my skin with a facial mask. Just check out the monkey mask. Boo!
Now that I’ve given you your scare of the day let’s move onto the makeup look.
This look is centered around the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Luxury Palette ($52 US/$64 CAD). The rich tones in this eyeshadow palette make it perfect for making a statement making, celebratory party look. I adore the Charlotte Tilbury shadow palettes. The shades and finishes are so stunning, and the formulas a dream to work with.
I applied a nude ivory shadow from crease to brow and then used the top right (enhance) shade in the palette in my crease and smudged below my lower lashline. I then intensified the crease and outer v with the bottom right (smoke) shade. I used this shade as a liner as well by pushing it into my lashline with a flat liner brush. I applied the glowing top left (prime) shade on the inner corner and brow bone, and then finished the look by applying the bottom left (pop) shade on my lid with my finger. The perfect pop of gold to celebrate the New Year. I then curled my lashes and applied two coats of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara for lots of volume and length.
I kept the skin flawless yet glowy with a natural pink blush, and kept the focus on the eyes by using a mauve toned pink lipstick on the lips with a touch of golden shimmer gloss on top.
Would you rock the Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp palette? Did I tempt you to add a little fun to your skincare routine with THEFACESHOP Character Masks? 😀
