I thought it would be fun to show you what I have in my professional makeup artistry kit. Now keep in mind this is a work in progress and it is far from being complete as I have just only recently started focusing on my freelance career in a more serious fashion.
Building this kit has been a difficult process for me. I tend to have some rather expensive tastes when it comes to my personal makeup collection. It is obviously not practical or financially feasible for me to fill my kit with the same products I swear by in my personal stash. So far I have actually been having to sanitize and borrow quite a few items from my collection until I can find suitable permanent versions…and the funds to buy them… for my professional kit.
First off I have to share with you my most favourite part of my pro kit…the case itself! I am so madly in love with this soft case from Stilazzi. This is the Stilazzi Gone Topless Pro Case in Purple. It also comes in Black, Grey, and Pink. I found this case after searching and searching for a more affordable and accessible alternative to the Tas Merah case I had seen online and fallen in love with. The drawer system just seemed like the most perfect and effective way of organizing and working out of a kit. Now that I have had several months to use it I know I couldn’t possibly live without it.
You can click on the photo to enlarge. It shows the beautiful construction and quality of the case. Here are some of the included features:
- Comes with 2 “clear face” black Actor Bags, 3 clear triangular pencil/brush Bags, 1 Kleenex Holder, and 1 Wet Ones Holder all detachable.
- Easy to clean interior/exterior.
- Light weight.
- Retractable trolley handle and wheels.
- 6″ deep top compartment.
- 2 removable 4 drawer stacks.

One of the best things about this case is how easy and versatile it is to work out of. You can work directly out of it or you can remove the two stacks of drawers! I love being able to put these up on a table to work out of. If you are lucky enough to have a large area to work from you can even remove each individual drawer, as I did to take the following photos, and everything is accessible to you. This saves so much time not having to root around for things all the time.
So on to the contents of the drawers. As I mentioned this is a work in progress but this is what I have put together so far. The more I use it the more I come to learn which products will stay, which will go, and what I need to add.

Drawer 1 – Foundations from Face Atelier and Cover FX, Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealers, Graftobian Hi-Def Corrector Palette, Rouge Bunny Rouge Luminous Skin Wand, travel sized tube of Amazing Cosmetics concealer.
Drawer 2 – Skincare (Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre, Make Up For Ever HD Elixer), Primers (Cover FX Skin Prep FX and Clear Prep FX, glo-minerals Under Eye Primer, Benefit POREfessional primer sample, Setting Powders (Cover FX Matte FX and Setting FX, Ben Nye Luxury Powders in Buff, Cameo, Banana, Beige Suede), Spatulas, Sponges, Puffs
Drawer 3 – My sad empty blush, highlighter, and bronzer drawer. I usually grab a bunch of my Chanel Joues Contraste blushes when I go on jobs as well as my Edward Bess Daydream bronzer and Chanel Bronze Rose bronzer. I do have a bunch of bronzers that I won in a Blog Giveaway that I can add but haven’t had time to play with them to decide which ones. I have added the Dior skin Nude Tan Healthy Glow bronzer in 004 Sunset that I won. I also usually add my MAC Beauty Powders in Too Chic and Play It Proper for highlighters. What stays in here right now for blush are my Illamasqua Blushes in Tremble, Hussy, and Lover, TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter.
Drawer 4 – False lashes (Ardell), Duo lash glue, BeautyBlender sponges, and Skindinavia Setting Sprays.
Drawer 5 – Anastasia Brow Powder Duos, Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencils, YBF Brow Pencil, Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel, Mascaras, Shu Uemura Lash Curler, Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion eye primers, Becca Romantasism Eye Tint, Disposable Mascara wands, Anastasia Tweezers and Scissors.
Drawer 6 – Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams in 2, 13, 16, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners and Eye Pencils from travel sets, Make Up For Ever Aqua Black, Marcelle Midnight Black Waterproof Eyeliner, Annabelle Eye Kohls in Silver and Black, Rouge Bunny Rouge Batiste Grey Starling Cream Eyeshadow, a few random MAC eyeshadows, Face Atelier Transforming Gel, Rouge Bunny Rouge Caress of Mink Loose Glitter Pigment, Anastasia Pencil Sharpener, Lise Watier Crayon Jumbo in Sunshine and Moonlight.
Drawer 7 – My poor empty lipstick drawer. I am going to be making a custom lipstick palette but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I know I will rarely finish an entire tube of lipstick so I think I will likely just steal half of my tubes of Chanel, Armani, etc for the palette. I know I will need to purchase some more lipsticks for my kit but have struggled with the what to choose. I have purchased a Make Up For Ever 5 Lipstick Palette in No3 Coral Harmony. I may pick up some more colour variations of this palette. Review to come! This drawer also contains all my Rouge Bunny Rouge Long Lasting Lip Pencils, as well as some random lip liners from MAC, Lise Watier, Prestige, etc.
Drawer 8 – Lip glosses from Rouge Bunny Rouge and Revlon, disposable doe foot applicators, and a couple of Le Metier de Beaute GWP lip palettes.

The top of my Stilazzi case contains my brushes (mainly bdellium and MAC) in their brush belt by ASoftBlackStar on Etsy, my 3 Inglot Freedom System 20 Eye Shadow palettes (I have reviewed two so far; cool neutrals and more colourful), Wet Ones in the included holder, a mirror, The Balm Shady Lady Palettes 1, 2 , and 3, some random blush, eyeshadow, and lip palettes from mua course that I never touch, Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle foundations and Sea of Tranquility highlighting fluid.
In the first triangular bag I have travel size MAC Cleanse Off Oil, travel size Simple Eye Makeup Remover, and a tin of Altoids. The second triangular bag contains cotton pads and a cough lozenge tin that contains my cotton swabs. The third triangular bag contains Beauty So Clean Sanitizer Mist, spray bottle containing MAC Brush Cleaner, and another containing alcohol.
I have linked all the available reviews throughout this post so if you would like to learn more about the products click away! If you have any questions about anything I have yet to review please let me know in the comments. If you have anything you’d like to recommend I would love to hear that as well. Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into my kit!
