I thought you might be curious to see what I ended up ordering from the Sephora VIB Sale. I had a really, really hard time narrowing this down. I didn’t want to spend too much, and I also wanted to “try” and behave and not order too much makeup since I really don’t “need” anything. It doesn’t stop the constant wanting though! So my VIB Sale goal was to purchase mainly hair products. I am very picky with what I use in my hair. I try to use only silicone free, sulfate free, and paraben free haircare. I have very fine, damaged, curly hair so I am always looking for products to nourish my hair, help form better curls, and give me lots and lots of volume.
The most exciting thing I ordered is the Sephora Favorites Ready, Set, Style! ($36 CAD reg). I have been watching this kit go in and out of stock for a couple weeks now so I was SO excited it was actually back in stock for my order. It has a variety of volume boosting dry shampoos and texture sprays that I was already wanting to try. I was going to order a full size of the IGK Down and Out Dirty Spray but I figured I was better off ordering this five piece kit for pretty much the same price and seeing if I even like it first. This set is AMAZING! It includes:
- 0.95 oz/ 40 ml Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish
- 1.4 oz/ 40 g Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo
- 2 oz/ 75 ml IGK Down and Out Dirty Spray
- 1.4 oz/ 40 ml Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray
- 3 oz/ 99 ml Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray
Next up are several products from the brand Briogeo. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews on this brand and I am very hopeful that I will fall in love with these.
Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Avocado + Quinoa Co–Wash ($41 CAD reg) I haven’t actually tried co-washing yet (skipping shampoo and cleansing only with conditioner) but from the research I’ve done this seems like a really great option.

Briogeo Curl Charisma™ Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Crème ($ CAD reg price) I like to use creams, gels, or cocktails of both for styling my curls. I was tempted to order the Curl Charisma Gel as well but I figured I’d try to restrain myself and see how I make out with just the creme first.

I have mentioned so many times on Perilously Pale how important microfibre hair towels are to my curly hair routine. In all this time though I have never purchased a “proper” hair towel. I’ve been using microfibre clothes from the auto section and my local hardware store! I finally used the VIB sale as an excuse to upgrade my hair routine with the much raved about Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Towel ($36 CAD reg). I am so incredibly excited to have this in my life.
Chelsea from Olive & Ivy introduced me to the invisibobble Original the Traceless Hair Ring ($10 CAD reg). I had kind of seen the odd, telephone cord looking, hair ties on Sephora’s site but hadn’t really paid any attention to them. When I realized that these hair ties actually reduce the stress on the scalp, therefore reducing headaches and scalp pain from having your hair pulled up, I was sold. Whenever I wear my hair up I end up in the most excruciating pain at my hair follicles. I am so excited to see if these work! Unfortunately, while writing this, I discovered I ordered the inivisbobble POWER version instead of the original. Hopefully it works out.
Marc Jacobs Enamoured Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Sugar Sugar ($35 CAD reg) – I have a few other shades of this gloss that I received as press samples so I know I love the formula. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this particular champagne gold shimmer nude shade that I finally caved and ordered it to try. I think, given I’m a nude lip junkie that this is one makeup splurge that I should get a good amount of use out of.
What did you splurge on from the sale?
