It is not very often that I can say a skincare product truly made a quantifiable difference in my skin. I am confident in reporting that I absolutely saw an improvement in my skin thanks to the new Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot ($21 CAD). Hyaluspot is the first targeted anti-imperfection treatment to utilize hyaluronic acid.
Spots can be caused from a variety of things; hormones, stress, unbalanced diet, or even shaving. Regardless of the cause bacteria always plays a factor. The more bacteria on your skin the more likely you are to form a pimple and then through touching or, (eek) squeezing, you can make the spot even worse.
The Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot uses a combination of actives to both treat the imperfection as well as protect from contamination from external elements.
- Hyaluronic Acid forms a type of invisible bandage on your skin shielding it from bacterial contamination and promoting healing.
- Salicylic Acid (BHA) exfoliates the cells of the skin without leaving behind cellular debris revealing softer smoother skin and allowing the follicles at the source of the imperfection to be more effectively targeted.
- LHA possesses antibacterial properties as well as a peeling effect to act over a period of time improving the uniformity and softness of the skin and defending against spots.
It has a light, invisible gel texture and the packaging includes a hygienic, cooling applicator.
While I don’t often suffer from breakouts I do experience small red, whitehead pimples all over my nose. Sometimes on my chin as well. I’m not sure what causes them but it drives me nuts that they are there on a pretty much daily basis. Well the Hyaluspot cleared them up in only 2 days and keeps them at bay. If I forget to use the product for a couple days they come back, resume use and they are gone. I am not used to a product so obviously WORKING on my usually stubborn skin. The best part is, unlike other blemish treatment products I’ve tried, Hyaluspot doesn’t dry out my already parched skin at all. It somehow clears it up and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I can’t imagine being without this now. If I do get a big spot somewhere I am anxiously awaiting testing this out on it!
