Looking for the perfect way to add some sparkle to your holiday look? Well look no further than the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Trio ($49 CAD). This limited edition palette of shimmering powders for face and body has a variety of baked shades to add a bit of glow to your look. The mirrored sturdy cardboard palette, with generously sized mirror and dual ended brush, makes this set perfect for travel.
The three shades are:
- Pyrite – gold champagne
- Oasis – marbled frosted taupe
- Twilight – iridescent pink
Pyrite is an almost bronzed champagne shade with strong pigmentation and a shimmer finish. In contrast Oasis and Twilight deposit a translucent, very sheer amount of colour on the skin, and give a glowing finish thanks to microfine glitter. Twilight also give the skin a beautiful iridescent, almost duochrome, sheen.
Now these highlighters don’t have the kind of finish that I personally look for when adding some radiance to my look. I prefer to achieve my glow without visible shimmer and more of an imperceptible sheen to the skin. I will go for an intense, almost frosted highlighter, at times as long as there is no visible glitter. If you love sparkle then you will enjoy the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Trio. It is also perfect for use on the body where I welcome a little more sparkle for a special occasion. They do look stunning on the skin.
