With all the hype surrounding the collection, and the admittedly less than stellar products in the holiday collection, I was kind of expecting to be let down by the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection. Maybe I just didn’t want to set myself up for disappointment. Well that made exploring this collection, and subsequently falling in love with all the products, even more exciting.
The Sweet Peach Collection features the return of the best selling Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette ($ US/$ CAD). Don’t let the fanfare for this eyeshadow palette detract you from the other products in this collection though because they are equally as amazing. If not even more so. Actually I would have to say the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Peach Infused Highlighting Palette ($ US/$52 CAD) and the Sweet Peach Papa Don’t Peach Blush ($30 US/$38 CAD) might be my favourite products in the collection.
The Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette palette includes an illuminator, blush, and bronzer shade. The highlighter is a peachy champagne hue with an almost iridescent metallic sheen that gives the most beautiful wet look to the skin without being a “see from space” kind of overwhelming highlighter. It’s actually incredibly flattering. The blush shade is gorgeous bright peach shade with a subtle satin glow. The bronzer shade is perfect for fair skin. Not to warm, not orangey, and quite subtle. It has an almost matte satin sheen. It just looks like fresh skin rather than flat and matte. If you are any deeper than a light-medium skin tone then this won’t really work as a bronzer for you. I absolutely love every shade in this palette. I can see it being a travel go to.
Papa Don’t Peach Blush is a bronzed peach shade with a golden sheen. It has beautiful pigmentation and gives cheeks the loveliest glow. It has a little more shimmer than the blush in the Glow Kit.
The Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection is a really, really great palette. It may be up their with one of my other all time favourite eyeshadow palettes, the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette. It has a stunning assortment of warm toned neutrals, and has absolutely every shade I need to create an endless variety of eye looks. It has very light matte shadows to be used as all over base shades and brow bone highlights. It has mid tone matte shades for use in the crease. It has a variety of dark shades for creating depth and contour to the eye. AND it has a variety of metallic, shimmery, or colourful shades for eye catching lid colours. It has a little bit of everything which is exactly what I look for in an eyeshadow palette! It will be perfect for travel. Too Faced eyeshadows can often be hit or miss but these babies are hits! They have great pigmentation and colour payoff. Some of the shades are a smidge tougher to blend than my Bon Bons palette but still great to work with and the results are gorgeous. The only reason I could think of for someone to complain about the shadow offerings in this palette is if they really like bold pops of colour included in their palettes or if they only like cool toned shades.
The shades are:
- White Peach (matte vanilla cream)
- Luscious (pearl peach champagne)
- Just Peachy (shimmering peachy pink)
- Bless Her Heart (golden moss)
- Tempting (bronzed black)
- Charmed, I’m Sure (matte medium cool brown)
- Nectar – pearly peachy cream
- Cobbler – peachy pinked bronze
- Candied Peach – matte coral with violet shimmer
- Bellini – gilded peach
- Peach Pit – satin perfect raisin
- Delectable – matte smoky amethyst
- Peaches ‘n Cream – matte milky peach
- Georgia – matte peachy pink
- Carmelized – dark gilded bronze
- Puree – metallic dark bronze
- Summer Yum – matte gingerbread
- Talk Derby To Me – shimmering black violet
Now let’s get to the scent. I have heard so many things about how strong the peach scent is in these products. I’m not sure if it is because my products are from the more recent restock batch, but my palette actually only has a mild peach scent. Same for the cheek products. The only products that have a very strong peach scent, and flavour, are the glosses.
Speaking of the glosses, they were another pleasant surprise for me. I don’t feel like I’ve really heard much about this new gloss launch. You have to admit, releasing a whole new lip gloss formula, the Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss ($ US/$ CAD), in a whopping eight shades as part of this launch is pretty impressive. These glosses feel different than any other glosses I’ve tried. They have a creamy almost gel feel and make your lips feel really cushy and silky. They have a good amount of pigmentation but with a translucent finish giving lips a noticeable, but sheer, pop of colour. The shade range is really beautiful. Nudes, peaches, pinks, and even an orange and bright watermelon.
The formula is infused with essence of peach, coconut oil, and vitamins to nourish lips like a lip balm while offering the glossy shine of a gloss. These glosses feel very lightweight and have a slight stickiness too them but nothing that is annoying or hair grabbing. They don’t last very long on the lips but they are a pleasure to reapply and I don’t mind sacrificing a bit of wear time for comfort. The glosses do have a strong peach scent and flavour. Yum!
