For Spring 2016 Dior has reformulated their Dior Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation. The Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect with Sunscreen Foundation ($50 US/$62 CAD) is available in 16 shades. It has a beautiful light, silky fluid formula that offers nice coverage with minimal product. It sets quickly to a soft matte finish that is incredibly flattering and doesn’t accentuate dryness at all. Even on my dry skin it leaves a beautiful soft focus finish that still allows my skin’s natural radiance to shine through. There is no heavy or cakey feel. Rather you don’t feel it on your skin at all.
It contains an Activ-Mat™ complex that helps control shine through the day leaving your skin looking as perfected in the evening as it did in the morning when first applied. A combination of two Wear-Lock™ polymers ensure flawless wear that remains comfortable. The acrylic polymer sets the texture and pigments in place while the hydro-formulated polymer adds flexibility to the makeup on the skin. I love that on my dry skin I can skip the setting powder since this dries to a beautiful finish without any tackiness or stickiness. You really feel like you aren’t wearing any foundation.
I don’t have my shade to test so I haven’t gotten to wear this as often as I’d like but from my experimentation with the darker shade I am very impressed. Matte formulas don’t tend to flatter my aging skin and this one seems to work beautifully. I will certainly update if I get the opportunity to give my shade a full test run.
