Please meet what has become one of my favourite lip gloss formulas. The By Terry Gloss Terrybly Shine Hydra-Lift Lip Lacquer ($44.50 US/€34.00 UK). It has everything I look for in a lip gloss. Cushy feel with no stickiness. Plush glossy finish. Pigmented enough to work well worn alone. Long lasting and very comfortable and hydrating to wear. I have been wearing these during this bitter, dry, cold winter when I haven’t been drinking quite enough water as I should and I found these have actually been improving the condition of my lips. That is a feat given I don’t find anything offers my lips relief aside from my holy grail balm.

Gloss Terrybly Shine is an anti-aging, firming and volumizing formula, enriched with the exclusive Lumilip® Technology. Kiss Me Quick Extract (ha ha no idea what this is) regenerates, nourishes, hydrates, creates volume and redefines lip contours. Hyaluronic acid microspheres plumps, fills the hollows, smoothes volumes, lifts the mouth. Ceramids restructure, firm, redensify, maintain lips’ hydration. It has a delicate fragrance with a floral trail of violet, rose and iris, with a hint of mimosa, raspberry, vanilla and musk. I certainly can’t pinpoint all those notes but the subtle scent is lovely and not overbearing.

Be Nude is a lovely peachy nude with a decent level of pigment.

Floral Paradise is a very sheer pale pink. It doesn’t offer much colour on the lips but you get to enjoy the incredible formula with a soft hint of pink on the lips.

Bitten Splash is the shade I have been wearing regularly since receiving these glosses. It is a gorgeous plum shade with a good amount of pigment.

Flamenco Desire is stunning shade that lies somewhere between a deep coral and an orange red.
This is a pricey gloss but if it is in the budget it is a beautiful formula that is like a treatment for your lips.
By Terry is available in the US at Space NK (US) and in the UK and to Canada via Space NK (UK).
