This week the Makeup Wars team is sharing our Spring Break/Winter Getaway Essentials. I haven’t actually had a winter getaway in 7 years. Cue the violins. I can happily visualize my next getaway though by sharing with you the items I know I couldn’t go without.
A Tinted Lip Balm – The sun can be so drying and damaging to the lips and the last thing I feel like wearing on the beach is lipstick. A tinted lip balm is actually a year round staple for me and the Dior Addict Lip Glows are my holy grail.
A Great Pair of Flip Flops – Gorgeous sandals are wonderful but a fun pair of rubber flip flops is a must have for the beach. I find I end up wearing flip flops most of the time in the summer because I find them really comfortable.
A Fun Beach Tote Bag – A large tote for carrying all your essentials is a MUST. I must admit I tend to just use whatever big ‘ol bag I can find and I’m ready to have a tote I really love.
A Never Let You Down Sunscreen – A sunscreen you can trust to protect you from sun damage and painful burns that is comfortable to wear and use a spring break and summer must have. The KINESYS sunscreens have been my holy grail for almost a decade and I can’t live without them. Effective, non greasy, non sticky, and super easy to use. Highly recommend!
A Never Let You Down Sunscreen for Face – Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 is my holy grail facial sunscreen. The formula is wonderful and performs beautifully under makeup. I also love the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ SPF 50+ is perfect for days when I want quick sun protection and makeup coverage in one.
A Fabulous Pair of Sunglasses – I’m still working on finding my perfect pair. I have such a narrow face and narrow bridge it’s a little bit tricky!
A Glowing Goddess Bronzer – My face always ends up being far lighter than my body as I always protect my face from the sun. Bronzer is a necessity to ensure my face looks as sunkissed as my body. I love the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Fusion Bronzer in I15.
