I am so excited to have the shu uemura Holiday 2016 collection to share with you. It’s been a while since I’ve had shu on the blog and I absolutely adore this brand. The shu uemura Murakami x Shu Uemura Cosmic Blossom Holiday Collection has the cutest packaging, making it perfect for stocking up on your favorites, trying something new, or gifting for the holidays. The collaboration with artist Takashi Murakami highlights one of his most iconic motifs the “FLOWER” for the most adorable designs.

The stars of the collection are the shu uemura Murakami Eye and Cheek Palettes ($65 US/$85 CAD ea).

Each palette includes seven eyeshadows in a range of matte (M), pearl (P), and glitter (G) finishes, and one Glow On blush. There are two palettes available. Cosmikawaii is the warmer shade offering while Cosmicool has cooler tones.

Cosmikawaii includes:
- #1 PES: P cosmic red
- #2 PES: P orange
- #3 PES: G yellow gold
- #4 PES: P mauve purple
- #5 PES: M midnight purple
- #6 PES: G powder blue
- #7 PES: G rose pink
- #8 GLOW ON: G coral with gold glitters

Cosmicool includes:
- #1 PES: P cosmic blue
- #2 PES: P purple gray
- #3 PES: G lavender with iridescent glitters
- #4 PES: P gray
- #5 PES: M midnight navy
- #6 PES: G deep gold
- #7 PES: G silver
- #8 GLOW ON: G pink with silver glitters
I can’t even decide which palette I love most. Both are gorgeous. One a mix of warm purples with gold, oranges, and red. The other a mix of cool purples with greys and navy. I guess regardless of which palette you go for you’ll have to like purple. 😉 The Cosmikawaii palette has a bit better colour payoff than the cooler Cosmicool palette.

There are also two Blossom Nova Eye Trios ($32 US/$39 CAD ea) available in the warm Cosmikawaii and the cool Cosmicool. Shown is the Blossom Nova Eye Trio Cosmikawaii. It includes:
- #1 PES: P cosmic red
- #2 PES: P orange
- #3 PES: G yellow gold
Also shown is a refillable Murakami Custom Case Duo ($11 CAD) that would hold two shadows or a blush.

The collection includes four shu uemura Cosmic Drawing Pencils ($24 US/$28 CAD). I have the two metallic finish shades in ME Comet Brown and ME Navy 61. The shu uemura liners have an incredible formula and are a real must try. Super creamy, pigmented, and long wearing. The other two shades available are the matte shades M Black 01 and M Purple Black 04.

There is a limited edition matte black shu uemura Murakami Cosmic Black Premium Curler ($20 US/$24 CAD). I was just about to repurchase my all-time favourite eyelash curler when this sleek black edition arrived complete with adorable Murakami Flower charm. I love this new matte black one because it doesn’t get as dingy looking as my silver one. Keep in mind this version does not come with a replacement pad like the standard version does.

Next up we have the beautiful lipsticks in the collection. The Murakami packaging is absolutely adorable. There are five lipsticks ($30 US/$36 CAD ea) in the collection. Three shu uemura Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine Lipsticks (pink floral packaging) and two shu uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks (red floral packaging).

The Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine lipsticks have a beautiful glossy finish and sheer, juicy color payoff. I LOVE them. The two bloom shades have some fine shimmer.
- Pinky Bloom
- Rouge Bloom
- RD164
The Rouge Unlimited lipsticks have more opaque colour payoff and a creamy finish. I actually found WN255 to perform more like a Sheer Shine.
- OR520
- WN255

Just look how gorgeous these are! The sheer, cheery colours are the perfect complement to the more dramatic Eye & Cheek Palettes.

The shu uemura Stage Performer Block: Booster ($46 CAD) is a great new all in one base products. It is a skincare neutralizer available in shades of beige and pink that primes, hydrates, and protects with SPF 50 PA +++. The formula is infused with botanicals including peony, corn, and water lily that have anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation and hydrating properties. It also has light reflecting properties to brighten the complexion.

The collection also brings us special limited edition packaging for some of our skincare and haircare favorites including:

- shu uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo ($56 CAD)
- shu uemura Wonder Worker Air Dry/Blow Dry Multitasking Primer ($33 CAD)
- shu uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil ($69 CAD)
- shu uemura Anti-Oxi+ Cleansing Oil – Pollutant & Dullness Clarifying Cleansing Oil ($37 US/$44 CAD)
Are you a Takashi Murakami fan? Will you be collecting products from this collection? Or just picking them up, or gifting them, because they are both adorable, and incredibly shu uemura quality?
