I don’t usually get very excited about tinted balm lip products. If I’m going out I like to have on lipstick, gloss, or both. If I want a balm then I will stick to a regular balm around the house. The Rouge Dior Baume 628 Palais ($37 CAD) however has me in her grasp.
This is the only Dior Baume I have tried thus far, so I am not sure if they are all like this, but Palais has the perfect amount of colour and coverage. Certainly equal to a sheer lipstick. But the best part is that the sheer coverage is perfectly even. It feels cushy and balmy on the lips without being too greasy and slippy. The formula feels very luxe and hydrating and is infused with Crystal Oil. Whatever the heck that is!
The shade is a lovely beige nude that seems to take on a bit more of a pink tone on my lips. This was such a pleasant surprise because usually shades like this will morph into and even warmer and unflattering colour on my lips. Palais remains a lovely flattering nude beige.
I think I have found another effortless option to turn to when I go for a smokey eye look. She may be pricey but she is certainly lovely.
The Dior Kingdom of Colours Spring 2015 Collection also includes another shade of Rouge Dior Baume called Cotillon, a vibrant poppy. Both are limited edition.
