I’m sorry I’ve been holding out on this review from you all for so long! It was the fact that I’m about to post a review of the new Time Defying Foundation that promoted me to finally get this review of the Milk Aquarelle foundation up for you. I’ve had it for ages, (the bottle is almost empty), and took the photos months and months ago and just never got back to completing the review. I must first of all share the beautiful Rouge Bunny Rouge story with you.
On a rare, rare night, just as the Enchanted Garden prepares itself for sleep, ethereal o’wisp forms rise through the miasmic air, as if formed from a dissolved elixir of the forest’s autumnal cloak… Voiles of the softest nutty tones mingle sweetly through the balmy milky clouds, suffusing the atmosphere with calm – as though a brush of light had softened every line into a lambent glow. Here, at the root of just one chosen tree, the ceremonial wood nymphs lay their whispered chants gently, blessing it so that all who rest there will be soothed. Their fatigue melted away by a hazy bacchanalian light, which cradles them with a feeling of deep serenity.
These same gentlest of natural phases of tone and transparency are translated here for RBR MILK AQUARELLE foundations. Five shades of delicately creamy swathes of colour, in a mélange of stirred light, to giving your complexion brightness and lucidity. Stroke yourself with innocence and comfort and watch as others sway towards you, helpless, like netted birds, caught by a sudden feeling of tenderness.
The dreamily light gel texture blends and moves with the contours of the face like a second skin and minimises imperfections to give the appearance of a flawless complexion whilst allowing your natural beauty to show through.
Packed with skin-saving protectors and botanicals including Detoxyl, a powerful anti-pollution ingredient to keep the world at bay and Bamboo, which conditions, softens and repairs the skin. Shea Butter nourishes; Panthenol imparts long-lasting moisturisation, stimulates cell regeneration and normalises skin. Egyptian Lotus and White Water Lily Extracts protect, soften and fight free radical damage.
The Milk Aquarelle foundation from Rouge Bunny Rouge has a gel texture that has a bit of a mousse quality to it. It provides a really nice light to medium coverage with a natural satin finish. There are five shades available which I have listed below. I have Coconut Milk Parfait and I have swatches of all but one shade for you today.
Coconut Milk Parfait – Milky pale pink beige
Almond Milk Parfait – Pale yellow toned beige
Chestnut Milk Parfait – Warm, pale ochre beige
Hazelnut Milk Parfait – Medium tawny beige
Cashew Milk Parfait – Medium, warm olive beige
Coconut Milk Parfait, Chestnut Milk Parfait, Hazelnut Milk Parfait, Cashew Milk Parfait
I have been really happy with the Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle Foundation. Well I guess that’s a given since I’ve almost finished the bottle! It last the day for me and the only small issue I have with it is that sometimes it can accentuate dry patches a little bit depending on the day. It applies beautifully with a brush and sponge but also with your fingers so I find myself reaching for this on days I’m in a hurry and just want to be able to “slap” something on my face and no it will look great. I would say that I would purchase another bottle but I have since fallen in love with the new Time Defying Foundation. It has surpassed my love for Milk Aquarelle and I will have a review up for you shortly.
Rouge Bunny Rouge is available worldwide on their online boutique, as well as online at Zuneta worldwide and Beautyhabit in the US.
