I’ve been enjoying indulging in the most luxurious skincare routine for my eyes the last month using the new Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Transformative Energy Eye Cream ($275 CAD/15ml). Everything from the name, to the ingredients, to the packing, to the application of this eye cream, screams decadence.
The star active of this formula is precious and energizing Black Diamond Truffle Extract. This combined with the same breakthrough, youth-sustaining technologies featured in Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Sculpting/Refinishing Dual Infusion and Transformative Energy Creme make this a truly indulgent eye product. Black Diamond Truffle Extract revitalizes the eye area for a more youthful and energized look. The formula also includes Marine Algae, Magnolia Extract and Japanese Apricot Fruit Extract, that work together to target the visible signs of eye area fatigue.

One of the things I love about this eye cream is how incredibly rich and hydrating it is while maintaining a very lightweight, and grease free, feel. I use this both morning and evening as it performs beautifully under makeup. Thankfully, given the price tag, a very small amount of this product goes a long way. I have been using this for over a month and still have a hard time remembering how little product I need. I also love that this eye cream is noted as being appropriate for use on the eyelids as well as the under eye area.
The eye cream comes with a luxurious, rotating applicator made of a cooling golden alloy. I have been absolutely loving this thing! While the suggested usage is to actually pick up the cream AND apply it to the eye area using a pampering massage routine using the tool, I usually just pat the cream in with my fingers. I have been using the tool to pick up the product and also all my other jarred skincare products and masks. Usually when products come with little spatulas I promptly lose them but this one is a beautiful little accessory on my counter always within reach. I love the weight of it, the swivelling head, and the curve of the tip. It has become an invaluable little tool for me. The petite tip size also helps in picking up the very small amount of product necessary for the eye cream.

The other product for eyes that I have been playing with lately is the new Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Brightening Serum + Concealer ($38 CAD). This dual ended product has an oil-free brightening serum on one end that hydrates and refreshes the eye area, brightens with liquid-light optics, and gently colour corrects. The other end has a twist up stick concealer with a creamy and emollient texture and excellent coverage. It can be used under the eyes as well as to conceal redness and blemishes on other areas of the face. The concealer is available in 10 shades and there are 3 different long wearing serum shades that pair with them.

The shade I have is 2C, which is the second lightest shade available and too dark for me, so I haven’t been getting much use out of the product. I have really enjoyed the formulas though during my testing. The tricky thing for me is to remember to apply the serum to my undereye area before I apply my foundation. I always apply foundation then undereye concealer so if I wait until after applying my foundation to pull out my Estée Lauder Serum + Concealer then it doesn’t perform as well trying to apply a serum over the foundation (obviously). I’m sure once you’re in the habit of applying the serum at the start of your makeup routine (as the final step in you skincare routine) then it will become second nature.
