After my love affair with the new Pur Bronzer I should have known that I would fall head over heels for the Pur Strobe/Highlight Palettes ($42 CAD/$34 US) released at the same time. I’m not usually a fan of cream bronzers because I find that they can disturb the foundation they are applied over. Plus usually creams don’t work well with powders, so if you apply the highlight before you set your makeup with a powder you end up dulling the glow. If you try and apply the cream highlight after setting your makeup you end up just creating a cakey mess. Well these new cream highlight palettes from Pur have changed my cream averting world. I can actually see myself reaching for these. A lot.
The formula feels very unique. They are an almost dry feeling cream. Not dry in the sense that it’s difficult to pick up product, as they are very creamy and easy to use, but they don’t have any tackiness to them whatsoever. They don’t feel “creamy” per se. When you blend them onto the skin it feels like you are applying a silky powder. It is a really, really lovely formula.
The packaging is so gorgeous. A sophisticated glossy brown with gold accents. These sleek, slim palettes feel very sturdy and snap closed with a strong magnetic closure.
There are two shade combinations available. Moonlight Glow is more suited to fairer complexions where Sun-Kissed Glow is targeted at deeper skin tones. The exquisite formula of these creams, and the subtle finish finish and hint of colour they give the skin, actually make both palettes very wearable on my pale skin.
The three shades in the Moonlight Glow palette are named Twilight, Lunar, and Eclipse. They are soft muted shades of champagne gold, peachy pink, and bronze. The glow these give is very gentle and refined.
The shades in Sun-Kissed Glow are named Aurora, Solar, and Dusk. They are basically deeper versions of the shades in the Moonlight Glow palette. I find these may be a touch more shimmery than the shades in Moonlight Glow but it could be just the illusion of the deeper shades.

I mean how gorgeous are these? If you are looking for a strong, dramatic highlight then these may not be your style but I think most people are going to love them. I think they will be especially beautiful on more mature skin.
