The new PÜR Vanity Palette Eyes and Cheeks ($36 US) are beautifully presented eye and face compacts that allow you to effortlessly put together a look with four eyeshadows, a blush, a bronzer, and a highlighter in coordinating hues all in one convenient mirrored compact. There are two colour options available. The more neutral Dream Chaser and the more dramatic option Goal Digger. There are 5 large pans in the palette with the four eyeshadow shades sharing the two pans on the right side of the palette, the highlighter and blush on the left, and the bronzer shade on the bottom centre of the palette. The top centre area is where the generously sized mirror releases from the palette on a hinge that can be lifted up and angled to provide the perfect portable vanity mirror for makeup application. So handy for travel.
The white and silver palettes are very sleek, compact, and chic.
The Dream Chaser palette offers an assortment of flattering neutral shades that are perfect for everyday wear.
It includes the eyeshadow shades Aspire, Good Intentions, Utopia, and Fantasy along with Illusion highlighter, Visionary Blush, and Driven Bronzer. The bright yet soft peach shades of blush and highligher are so pretty and the tone of the bronzer is great for fair skin. There are no shimmery formulas or glittery finishes to be found. The eyeshadows have matte finishes with just a hint of fine shimmer that just takes a bit of the flatness out of the shades. The face powders have a beautiful, flattering satin finish with the highlighter having a bit stronger of a sheen. With both palettes I found the face powders to have a creamy and smooth texture while the eyeshadows were a little stiffer and drier. I’ve quite enjoyed the Pur eyeshadows that I’ve tried in the past but these were a little trickier to work with.
The Gold Digger palette features bolder hues. More suitable to deeper skin tones or for more of a dramatic look than the Dream Chaser palette. This palette also offers much more shimmer.
The eyeshadows in this palette are Aim High, 24/7, No Limit, and Grind. No Limit and Grind were quite dry and lacking in pigmentation but Aim High and 24/7 performed much better. 24/7 is such a pretty shade and finish of purple. The highlighter Glow Getter and blush Glambition are quite lovely. The bronzer Motivation is very pigmented and smooth but the shade is very dark and warm. Certainly more suited to deeper and warmer skintones than my own.
While these Vanity palettes aren’t the best quality I’ve seen from Pür they are still lovely travel options and well put together. If you are drawn to the shades they might be worth checking out.
